The Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch was thrilled to have received such high acclaim for this year’s magical pantomime, Cinderella from actress Lucy Benjamin. The TV star best known for her role as Lisa Fowler in EastEnders attended opening night with her two daughters and said, “Great show, we all loved it!”

Local to Hornchurch, the actress is a regular at the Queen’s Theatre and graced its stage in 2015 when she performed as the leading role of Camille Dargus in Deadly Murder. Lucy Benjamin also played Velma Von Tussle on the 2013 Hairspray UK Tour and appeared as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2009.

‘Thank you on behalf of 10th Romford Rainbows & Brownies for an absolutely fantastic evening last night! The whole 134 of us that came along thoroughly agree that it’s your best Pantomime yet! The children (I’m confident the actors heard and saw) participated from start to finish! How the cast weren’t distracted demonstrates the sheer professionalism of them all. A massive well done and thank you to all of you, it really is the highlight of our year!

We are chomping at the bit to book our seats for next year’s production. Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.’ – Lesley Matheson
‘Excellent Panto. Lots of songs with audience participation. Scenery superb and the versatility of the cast playing violin, trumpet, saxophone, trombone, flute and clarinet was fantastic. A really talented cast. Lots of ‘He’s behind you’ and ‘Oh no you don’t.’ Adult innuendos abound to keep the older members of the audience engaged. Go along and enjoy’ Edward Lubbock
