TfL release update about works being performed on future Elizabeth line stations

Category: Trains 12

TfL have sent out emails about the continuing Crossrail project works on Harold Wood and Romford stations.

Harold Wood

Until September 2017:

We are currently installing lifts and equipment rooms to each of the platforms.
We have almost completed works to install external cladding to the lift shaft and will then undertake works to complete the footbridge.
We are also refurbishing the toilets at Harold Wood station in order to improve these facilities.
Platform extension works, and electrical and telecoms installation will continue through this period.

Until October 2017:

We continue the internal refurbishment of the existing ticket hall. A temporary ticket office is located in the station car park.
Until June 2017:

In this period, we will begin works to install the foundation for a small electrical substation on railway land at the east end of the station car park, adjacent to Station Road.

Romford

Easter 2017:

During the bank holiday weekend Romford Station will closed and no trains will be running. Our site team will use this opportunity to undertake platform surfacing works.
