New Crossrail trains get a test drive 

The all new Crossrail trains have taken to the test track, in Derby where they are being developed. 

The new trains will feature walk-through carriages, air conditioning, CCTV for passenger security, real-time travel information, public Wi-Fi connections and each train is 200m-long.

The new trains will enter service in May 2017 on TfL Rail between Liverpool Street and Shenfield.

Further trains will come into service between Heathrow and Paddington in May 2018.
