Roadworks continue on A127/Ardleigh Green Bridge

Works continue on the A127 bridge near Ardleigh Green Road. We contacted TfL and they have provided an update on works this month, including time for closures:

Having successfully installed the new bridge into its permanent position and constructed the new roads, we are now working on the central reservation to get it ready for opening all four lanes of traffic.

Details of the dates and times of this work and how it might affect you are given below:

There will be some night time closures of the A127, see the details below for details.
Pedestrian and vehicular access for local residents and businesses will be maintained throughout the works.

Full road closure of the A127 Southend Arterial Road between Gallows Corner and Squirrels Heath/Ardleigh Green Road.

Friday 22 March from 21:00 until
08:00 on Saturday 23 March
Eastbound closure of the A127 Southend Arterial Road between Gallows Corner and Squirrels Heath/Ardleigh Green Road.

Friday 23 March from 21:00 until
08:00 on 24 March
Eastbound closure of the A127 Southend Arterial Road between Gallows Corner and Squirrels Heath/Ardleigh Green Road.

Friday 29 March from 21:00 until
08:00 on Saturday 30 March
Westbound closure of the A127 Southend Arterial Road between Gallows Corner and Squirrels Heath/Ardleigh Green Road.

Saturday 30 March from 21:00 until
08:00 on Sunday 31 March
Westbound closure of the A127 Southend Arterial Road between Gallows Corner and Squirrels Heath/Ardleigh Green Road.

Noise
The day and night working hours of 21:00 to 08:00 have been agreed with the London Borough of Havering.

After these closures, work will continue in the area on weekdays
and over some weekends in two shifts: 08:00 to 18:00 and 21:00 to 08:00. We will always complete as much as possible of the noisiest works in the daytime shifts.

We asked TfL for further information about the end date of these roadworks but they were unable to provide more information
