Planned closures on the Stratford to Shenfield line in 2018 as railway plans for Elizabeth line opening

The Elizabeth line will open from December 2018, initially it will open as three separate services: Paddington to Abbey Wood; Paddington to Heathrow; and Liverpool Street to Shenfield. But from May 2019 a commuter from Romford will be able to travel directly through central London to the West End and Paddington without needing to change trains.

There is still lots to be done along the line that requires line closure and this will be done over the following 10 weekends:

January 21: no service between Stratford and Shenfield.

January 28: no service between Stratford and Shenfield.

February 3-4: full line closure. No service between Liverpool Street and Shenfield.

February 10-11: no service between Stratford and Shenfield.

February 17-18: no service between Stratford and Shenfield.

February 24-25: full line closure. No service between Liverpool Street and Shenfield.

March 3-4: full line closure. No service between Liverpool Street and Shenfield.

March 10-11: full line closure. No service between Liverpool Street and Shenfield.

March 17-18: full line closure. No service between Liverpool Street and Shenfield.

March 24-25: full line closure. No service between Liverpool Street and Shenfield.
