Trenitalia-owned train operator c2c has set a new national record for punctuality after nearly 1,500 consecutive trains arrived on time without any delays in the run-up to Christmas.

From the afternoon of Monday 17 December to the morning of Friday 21 December, every single c2c train arrived on time.

c2c was also yet again the most punctual train operator in the country last month. Overall 97.6% of c2c trains arrived on time, which was the best result of the entire year.

said: “Every day our whole team is focused on providing passengers in Essex and east London with a punctual train service. Everyone at c2c is really proud that we’ve set this new UK record for punctuality, and we’re aiming to continue 2019 with the same standard of reliability that we have started the year with.”

  1. This is simply not accurate. I even have an automatic delay repay entry for 18/12. C2C are by no means the worst, but it’s passengers have suffered greatly in recent years with delays and outright cancellations, followed by price rises – and all we see in the media is how well the company appears to be doing. I would encourage an audit.
