The Liberty Shopping Centre in Romford is set to host an array of free activities to keep the little ones entertained over the summer holidays.
Over the holiday, on weekdays between Monday 23rd July and Friday 31st August, 11am-4pm, the centre will embrace six weeks of summer celebrations with varying activities each week.
To kick-start the summer fun, between Monday 23rd and Friday 27th July, the shopping centre will welcome back its ‘Wild Slyde’ Resistance Sliding activity. The sport, that is hosted by the UK’s first ‘Gladiator’ champion, Weininger Irwin, will see shoppers sliding on a specially designed mat, aiming to get to the end of the course in record time for the chance to win £500 for a charity of their choice.
From Monday 30th July – Friday 3rd August, the centre will host a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, encouraging kids to get creative with arts and crafts. Monday 6th – Friday 10th August will see the centre celebrate with a ‘Beach Party’, where kids will be able to make super sand crafts to take home.
From Monday 13th – Friday 17th August, the shopping centre will invite youngsters to its ‘Jungle Party’, where they will be able to create an array of wild crafts including Animal Masks, and between Monday 20th – Friday 24th August the centre will host a ‘Circus Party’ where kids can make a variety of circus themed props.
From Monday 27th – Friday 31st August, the centre will see the ‘Wild Slyde’ return for another week, where the winner of the £500 charity donation and overall speediest slider will be announced.
Jonathan Poole, Centre Manager for The Liberty, said: “It’s going to be a fantastic summer celebration here at The Liberty this year.
“We look forward to seeing children from Romford and its surrounding areas getting creative and having plenty of summer fun at The Liberty.”
