Have your say on the future of Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS

Category: nhs 52

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University began work on developing their clinical strategy in May. This is a plan that details what our hospitals will look like in years to come.

The last strategy was published in 2016 and there has been growing demands and increasing pressure on both the hospitals as the population increases.

BHR are continuing to look for ways to improve the changes at all BHR locations, including King George’s and The Queen’s Hospital.

There will be some options which BHR say they will not consider including, for example they are keeping a Type 1 Emergency Department at both the hospitals, and will not consider changing this.

From the list of possible options, they will eventually end up with a preferred option(s) and produce a draft final strategy.
