Patients and local residents are invited to attend special events to have their say about care at our hospitals.

The events hosted by Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust and the national consumer champion for health and social care, Healthwatch will take place on:

Monday 8 June, 5-7pm – Havering Listening Event
Thursday 2 July, 6-8pm – Barking and Dagenham Event
To be confirmed early July – Redbridge Listening Event

These events are an opportunity for the local community to help shape our future by making sure staff running the hospital are aware of local people’s priorities for their healthcare.

An update from our previous listening events will be provided, including the progress made in the Outpatients departments and what has been done for patients with learning disabilities.

Chief Executive, Matthew Hopkins, said: “Our patients’ health and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. An important part of that is listening to patients and their loved ones to find out what we do well, and where we need to improve.

“We have a number of ways patients can give us their feedback but we want to make this easier for people by going out into our local communities and having an open and honest conversation about their experiences of our services, and what we could change to make them better.

“We will then use this information to help us focus on where we need to make quality improvements within our service.”
