Call to cover Havering in purple ribbons in memory of Jodie Chesney

Category: Havering 568

This is to show support to Jodie Chesney and to protest about knife crime within OUR borough of Havering.

The community in Harold Hill has already come together over Jodie’s death, with Florists donating purple ribbon, Barbers buying reels of ribbon and giving out to the community, people going out and tying purple ribbon to trees, lamposts, cars, doors and fencing.

Its the simple things like talking to neighbours about the awful event, and getting out there to show support.
We need to join together, last Friday this happened to an innocent girl sitting in a park in Harold Hill, but it could easily of been Upminster or Hornchurch and indeed Jodie had previously gone to Havering Sixth Form College

As a borough we have the same police covering ALL of Havering. We need to show our support, Knife crime affects us all. Let’s stand together and protest about the knife crime that has filtered out to OUR area, get more police back to OUR community.
Let’s show our support to our neighbours in Harold Hill and join in

Of course if you saw something please contact the police as soon as possible. Councillor Damian White, Leader of Havering Council:

“Anyone who saw or heard anything on the night of the attack, or who has any information that might help the police investigation, needs to get in touch with the police immediately.

“Just one piece of information could be crucial in finding Jodie’s killer. Anyone with information should call the HMCC Incident Room on 020 8345 3775. If you don’t want to use your name you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
