An evening with Mark Stanway- Ex-Magnum
Fairkytes Arts Centre, Hornchurch
Friday, 7 September 7:00 – 9:00pm
Mark Stanway, formerly of British melodic rock band MAGNUM, shares a lifetime of experiences within the music business in this unique evening of music and conversation.
Join Mark as he reminisces about his career, which has spanned over four decades as a touring and recording musician. In addition to his lengthy association with Magnum, Mark has also played with legendary artists such as Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy), Roy Wood (Wizard/Move/ELO) and M3 Classic Whitesnake.
This stage show will be illustrated with slides and videos featuring previously unseen material from Mark’s private archive. There will also be a question and answer session, a keyboard demonstration and impromptu playing that demonstrates Mark’s diversity, as well as a memorabilia raffle. And the evening would of course not be complete without live performances of some of Mark’s best loved contributions to Magnum’s rich musical legacy.

I’m one of those comedian/presenters you get nowadays (itv2’s love island, celebrity, cbbc’s the dog ate my homework) although, if truth be told, my father is still unsure about the whole thing.
To help convince my father this is a real job, I’ve dressed up and gone along to numerous posh parties where I won bafta “best children’s presenter” 2016, I didn’t win the following things: bafta “best children’s presenter” nominee 2011, chortle “best newcomer” nominee 2011, loaded baftas “rising star” nominee 2011 and a good few more!
