Spitfire Scramble
13 – 14 July 2019
Hornchurch Country Park

The Spitfire Scramble is a 24-hour multi-terrain relay or solo race. You can run on your own or in teams of two to eight runners. As you run through the night, the event will put your speed, endurance, torch batteries and teamwork to the test in the only event of its kind in the London area.

The event will start at midday when your ‘squadron leader’ begins your first 5.75-mile lap. As a team you will not stop again until midday the next day. Each squadron can have a maximum of one runner on the course at all times and runners must complete a full circuit before handing over to a team mate.

Tickets include entry to the Wings & Wheels Family Festival which takes place the next day (Sunday 21st July) at the same venue (Damyns Hall Aerodrome, Upminster).

Please note: No alcohol is to be brought into the event. This will be strictly enforced by onsite security. There will be a bar onsite serving a range of alcoholic drinks and refreshments at very reasonable prices. All money raised on the bar will go to Havering Mind. Picnics allowed. Ellis Leisure is hosting an inflatable fun day for children of all ages to come and enjoy at Raphael Park, Romford, RM2 5PL.

Ellis Leisure will be at Raphael Park every Friday of the six week school holidays to provide a range of inflatable fun. You can expect mega assault courses, bouncy castles, slides, bungee runs and more.

There will also be an area dedicated for smaller, less confident and disabled children, so everyone can enjoy the day.
