Kindertransport
The Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch

Following this year’s acclaimed revival of The Crucible, the Queen’s Theatre is partnering with Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg again to produce Diane Samuels’ heart-warming classic Kindertransport in association with Selladoor Productions. Running from 8 – 24 March, it marks the 80th anniversary of the Kindertransport and 25 years since the deeply moving and timely modern classic was written.

Sunday, 18 March 10:00am – 11:00am

REGISTERING Starts at 10:00 – The walks will setoff at 11:00

A guided dog walk approximately 3.4km/2.5 miles in length (a shorter walk will also be available) to explore Hornchurch Country Park and the surrounding Landscape with your furry friend raising funds for Essex Wildlife Trust and the Retired Greyhounds Owners Association. The walk is open to all breeds and a goody bag will be provided to each entrant. There will be dog related stalls and refreshments outside the visitor centre. No need to book just turn up on the day to register. Dogs are required to be on a lead for the duration of the walk. £5 donation per dog

Milkshake Live! ‘The Magic Storybook’
The Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch

“We cannot wait to be back touring the country with our brand-new show, The Magic Storybook,” said Milkshake Presenter and Show Director Derek Moran, “It’s a magical show full of audience participation. The Milkshake audience will love the classic fairytale storylines, the songs and seeing lots of their favourite Milkshake! characters live on stage”

Milkshake! Live, The Magic Storybook, stars Milkshake! favourites Bob the Builder, Little Princess, Noddy, Toyland Detective, Fireman Sam, Shimmer and Shine, Pip Ahoy!, Winnie and Wilbur, Wissper as well as Milkshake!’s very own Milkshake! Monkey and two Milkshake! presenters at every show. The show will take audiences on a journey through their favourite fairy tales featuring much-loved stories that will be familiar to everyone – young and old. With music, singing and dancing, Milkshake! Live, The Magic Storybook is the fourth nationwide live tour from Channel 5’s Milkshake! The tour will run until October this year with additional dates set to be announced for 2018.

Pirates in the Park
Ingrebourne Valley Visitor Centre
Wednesday 4th April – 10.00am-11.00am, 11.30am-12.30pm

Join us aboard the pirate ship in the woods to set sail on an adventure to find the buried treasure chest. Find the items on a scavenger hunt, make small boats and pirate craft to take home. Suitable for ages 3+. Please dress to suit the weather. Donation £6 per child

Family Fishing
Ingrebourne Valley Visitor Centre
Thursday, 5 April 10:00am – 4:00pm

Learn the Art of Fishing. All equipment is provided but if you have your own feel free to bring it along. Children over the age of 12 will need a 1-day licence from the post office. You can also get this online or phone them on 0344 8005386. We catch and release to water. £7.00 per person fishing

Bug Hunting
Ingrebourne Valley Visitor Centre
Friday 6th April – 1.00pm-2.00pm, 2.30pm-3.30pm

Come and explore the different habitats at Hornchurch Country Park. Go on a Bug Hunt and find many of the insects that live in the Ingrebourne Valley. All equipment supplied. Suitable for ages 3+. Please dress to suit the weather. Donation £6 per child

Titanic: Honor and Glory
Havering Museum, Romford
7 Apr – 1 Sep 2018

The exhibition will not only have many artefacts from the ill-fated liner, like a steward’s tunic and the watch that stopped when it was immersed in the icy cold water of the North Atlantic on 14th April, 1912, but also props from the James Cameron’s 1997 blockbuster movie starring Leonardo Di Caprio, Billy Zane and Kate Winslet.
