Jack and The Beanstalk

Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum, it’s panto fun for everyone When Jack sells Pat, his beloved family cow, for magic beans, he soon discovers they open up an unexpected world of thrilling adventure. Join Jack and dotty mum Dame Trott as they scale the Beanstalk, outwit the Giant and are reunited with Jill, the girl Jack loves. Brought to you by the same team as last year’s record-breaking Beauty and the Beast and 2016’s Cinderella, this actor musician version of the popular panto tale is peppered with pop hits from across the decades, bundles of audience participation and hilarious slapstick. Santa’s Grotto

We’re proud to announce the return of #Santa’s #grotto. This will open on Saturday 17th November at 10 am until 4 pm. This year we will be raising funds for the 6F (Romford) Squadron, #RAF Air Cadets. Fabulous little local charity – we are spreading the love! £6.00 per child and you may take as many photos or videos on your phone as you wish plus a fabulous present from the big man himself. Just turn up on the day – no booking require no time slots here!! Don’t forget we close at 1 pm sharp on Christmas Eve as he has a busy night ahead of him – See you all soon. This is our favourite time of year!

‘Twas The Night Before Christmas
The Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch

Based on the poem by Clement Clarke Moore ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas When all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. .. A magical festive treat… It’s Christmas time. Leave your shoes and slippers by the fireplace and settle down to hear one child’s story about the night they met a certain twinkly-eyed, round-bellied chap. After last year’s sell-out run at the National Trust’s Rainham Hall, the Queen’s Theatre is delighted to be bringing this joyful Christmas cracker of a production home to Hornchurch. ‘The performance was like opening a bottle of everything that excites a child about Christmas’ Cuteness and Chaos To be performed in the Theatre’s new onsite Rehearsal Space Please arrive 15 minutes before scheduled performance start time. Suitable for 3 – 7 year olds Unfortunately, due to the intimate nature of this storytelling performance, children under the age of 3 cannot be admitted to this production.

Legends of King Arthur

This magical show retells the famous legends of the Sword in the Stone and Arthur with his Knights of the Round Table.

Watch as Arthur grows from a young squire into the rightful King of England. Merlin’s magic and Lancelot’s bravery help Arthur on his quests against a fiery dragon and the evil Morgana. Along the way, Arthur falls in love with the beautiful Guinevere and she inspires Arthur and his Knights to save the Kingdom of Camelot.

Bark in the Dark – Thames Chase Christmas Special
Thames Chase Forest, Upminster, RM14

Take your best friend on an after-dark walk and raise money to care for homeless pets.
Setting off at sunset, you’ll follow our unique 5k glow in the dark trail. Light the way with a head torch, grab a night collar for your dog and join the fun.

Sparky the Elf and the Secret Toyshop
The Mercury Mall Shopping Centre, Romford
13th – 20th December

The special venue will be transformed into Santa’s enchanted workshop, and running from 15 – 30 December. Whilst Santa is busy making his list and checking it twice, his most trusted head elf Sparky Tinselbottom is frantically working away repairing abandoned toys. Families with children aged 7 – 11 can join in as one of Sparky’s friends and discover fantastic adventures of unloved toys from around the world. But don’t distract Sparky for too long, as Father Christmas needs everything to be ready for loading his sleigh and the clock is ticking…

Families must arrive 15 minutes before the advertised start time by the Grotto on the ground floor of the The Mercury Mall Shopping Centre, where they will be met and led to Sparky’s secret toyshop, which will be a short walk away.

Sparky the Elf and the Secret Toyshop runs from 15 – 30 December. Tickets are £7.50 for all weekday performances and £10 at weekends.
