An innovative body confidence event which has been touring the UK is to visit Essex for the first time.
Feel-good event Body Confidence Live will feature TV personalities and friends Ferne McCann and Vicky Pattison who will open up about their own body confidence journeys.
They will be joined by a series of other speakers and exhibitors all relating to body confidence, self-esteem and overall wellbeing. The aim of the expo-style event is to help people find ways to feel more positive about their bodies and be kinder to themselves.
Body Confidence Live is coming to Hornchurch on Sunday 18 November following three successful events held by the organisation in Scotland and Manchester earlier this year.
There will be different speakers throughout the afternoon and attendees can choose which talks they’d like to hear, wander round and talk to exhibitors and stay as long as they choose.
The event is being sponsored by leading operator of gym, swim and leisure activities Everyone Active and will be held at Hornchurch Sports Centre. £1 from the sale of each ticket will be donated to the the Havering branch of the Mind mental health charity.
Body Confidence Live takes place at Hornchurch Sports Centre, Harrow Lodge Park, Hornchurch Road, Hornchurch, Essex, RM11 1JU on Sunday 18 November from 12.30pm until 5pm. Tickets are priced at £15 per person and are available now at www.bodyconfidencelive.com
TV presenter Ferne McCann, who will host the event, said: “This is such an important issue and I absolutely cannot wait for this event. Learning to like yourself is a really hard but really rewarding thing to achieve and it’s something that I think most people struggle with. On the day we’ll be boosting each other’s confidence, sharing our experiences and generally having fun and I guarantee everyone will leave feeling better than they did when they arrived.”
Vicky Pattison – who has appeared on numerous TV programmes including I’m A Celebrity….Get Me Out of Here, This Morning and Loose Women – said: “I’ve already experienced one of these events and I can honestly say I felt amazing afterwards! We’re all guilty of being too hard on ourselves at times and maybe focusing too much on the negatives instead of celebrating all the fantastic things we have to offer. I can’t wait to be part of this event and meet everyone who comes along.”
Body Confidence Live organiser and wellness coach Ellie Hopley, who lives in Hornchurch added: “We’ve had fantastic feedback from our previous events and it’s so exciting to be coming to Essex. As always, the focus will be on helping people think about ways they can feel better about themselves and encouraging everyone to be a bit kinder to their bodies.
“The idea is that people can come along for an afternoon of positivity, hear from a range of different speakers, and hopefully leave feeling great. We’d encourage everyone to come along and experience the BoCo Live buzz.”
Tom Fletcher, Everyone Active area contract manager, said: “We’re pleased to be hosting Body Confidence Live for their first visit to Essex. I know that it will be a great day and would encourage people to come down to Hornchurch Sports Centre to listen to the inspirational speakers while also donating money to MIND.”
