Christmas Light FREE Switch On Events

Romford Christmas Lights Switch-on

Romford Market Place
Thursday 16 November
4.30pm to 6.30pm
Featuring – live performances from Jess Folley (winner of the Voice Kids 2017), Taliah Delarto,(following her recent appearance on the X Factor), D’Luxe, Absonetti, Luke Stanley, SupaNova LED light show dancers,Jess Herring, Soda Pop, Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol and the cast of Beauty and the Beast Panto from Queens Theatre.

Hornchurch Christmas Cracker Event

Saturday 18 November

Featuring free children’s rides, Santa’s Grotto, The Haverettes Girls Marching Band and much more.

Upminster Christmas Event

Thursday 23 November
4pm to 6pm
Upminster Town Centre
Featuring free children’s rides, carol singing, festive on street entertainment, free elf themed treasure trail.

Illuminating Elm Park Christmas Event

Featuring Santa’s grotto, carol singing, face painting, ativity scene, funfair stalls, tombola.

Rainham Village Christmas Fayre

Saturday 2 December
10am to 4pm
Rainham Village
Featuring Jordan’s Irish Dancers, The Russellettes Majorette Troupe, Lightnin Drama, Thunder Drama, The Singing Princesses, Blues Brother, Dusty Springfield, Oasis, Legends Theatre School, Dance Mode, Foresters Dance Group, Father Christmas with elves, La Salette and Parsonage Farm School Choirs in the church and more.

Kingdom of the Elves

Saturday 16 December
10:30am to 5.30pm
Walk around the magical elf kingdom, make toys with the elves, you can even have a ‘selfie with an elfie’ on a giant sleigh.

Winter Wonderland Experience

Immerse yourself in a winter wonderland featuring a giant polar bear, giant sleigh, snow globe and live entertainment throughout the day.

Meet the Romford Reindeer

Saturday 23 December
11am to 3pm (Outside Lloyds Bank)
Make it a magical Christmas as the children meet a real reindeer and enter the ‘name the reindeer competition’.

Fun Fair

There will be a small fun fair in Romford Market from 15 – 17 December and 20 – 24 December.

The Market will be open on normal days as well as Sunday 17 December, Thursday 21 December and Sunday 24 December.
9am to 4.30pm
Festive stalls include, Christmas decorations, Christmas trees, mince pies and mulled wine, hog roast and traditional German sausage.
