Chris Chatfield has posted some photos he asked the person operating the crain over site next to The Queen’s Theatre
The site that’s currently being developed for 44 homes for rent and was previously the home of the former Nalgo Social Club site.
In 2012 the members of the social club protested to try and save their club but this was not successful and the club was closed in 2013, when it was served notice by the council after being run by supporters for 25 years.
The scheme is aimed to deliver high-quality accommodation for young people and families in the borough and will be accompanied by other potential developments, including in Como Street, Romford.
