Man from Upminster to shave beard in memory of Mother

Category: Charity 2

While most people in November attempt to grow a moustache Luke O’Sullivan, an IT technician from Upminster, is doing the opposite.

Luke is raising money for Macmillan in memory of his mother, Jenny O’Sullivan, who died of cancer earlier this year.

Luke says:

On the 9th of November (the day before my mum’s birthday), I will shave away my beard, moustache, sideburns and head for charity! I will also keep my face and head clean shaven for the rest of November!

Your donation will also include my attempt at Decembeard!

Luke has started a Just giving page and pledges to shave his face as long as at least £200 has been raised.

Fundraising is hugely important to Macmillan. Without people doing events, running marathons, climbing mountains, and donating in all the other ways that you can, Macmillan wouldn’t exist.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs.
