Did you know that Queens Hospital in Romford is currently receiving 400 pairs of Scrubs a day but actually need 1000 to protect their hardworking NHS staff?
Inspired by For the Love of Scrubs facebook group we have reached out to Queens Hospital, Romford.
We have received an initial donation of £750 and have used this to buy material.
Karen from the Secret Wedding Studio in Aveley Road has kindly offered to cut all the material but she will need help in this task and in bagging up the pattern pieces to make the sewing kits.
We will then arrange for them to be delivered to support our wonderful NHS. The scrubs will go to a commercial laundry at Witham who will wash them to prevent the transfer of infection.
PEOPLE THAT CAN SEW – a team of people who can sew to put them together for us. You will be given the material, thread and tape plus full instructions to make up the scrubs sets.
PEOPLE THAT CAN COLLECT/DELIVER – we need people to assist with delivering the kits, collecting the finished sets and delivering them.
PEOPLE THAT CAN SORT/PACKAGE – we need people to bag up the pattern pieces and instructions.
PEOPLE THAT CAN CO-ORDINATE – we need people to help co-ordinate the collections and deliveries to ensure that we get the scrubs to Queens quickly.
Please fill out your contact details below and we will be in touch as soon possible.
We are exploring fundraising options, as if we can raise £1000 then that will give us the money to purchase the material to make the additional scrubs needed. But first we need our merry team of seamstresses (and seamblokes!).
If you’re not able to help with the tasks above, we need people to SHARE this information with friends who may be able to help.
This is a constantly changing scenario, so join the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1500699350098765/
