All children grow up. Except one.

This festive season, get set for an awfully big adventure as the Brookside Theatre’s dazzling musical adaption of JM Barrie’s classic tale, Peter Pan The Musical takes flight this December.

When leader of the Lost Boys, Peter Pan, loses his shadow during a visit to London, headstrong Wendy helps him re-attach it. In return he invites Wendy and her brothers to Neverland – where the Lost Boys, Tiger Lily and a band of bungling pirates led by the villainous Captain Hook await.

Bursting with mischief, music and make-believe, this new musical adaption features a modern soundtrack and is a funny and moving version of a much-loved story for audiences of all ages

The cast features 13 year old Romford based performer Murray Peat in the title role who was seen earlier this year at the theatre in the role of The Artful Dodger in the critically-acclaimed production of Oliver!. Murray is joined on stage by a cast of talented young performers who join him as the Lost Boys as well as Henry Chapman as John Darling and Taylor Jenkins as young Michael Darling. Taking on the role of Wendy is London-based actress Jennie Luke and the theatre’s Artistic Director, Jai Sepple, will be portraying the infamous Captain Hook.

Speaking about the production, Jai commented “This year has seen the theatre go from strength to strength and we really hope that Peter Pan will bring audience members, new and old, of all ages to the theatre this December. With our new raked seating, families can now all enjoy the magic of theatre and one thing that Peter Pan definitely is is magical!”

Created by the award-winning team that produced last year’s Christmas musical, A Christmas Carol, as well the recent productions of The Canterville Ghost, Hi-De-Hi, and Oliver!, this timeless story of the boy who refused to grow up is a theatrical treat for young and old alike so book tickets now, by Hook or by crook!

Peter Pan The Musical runs at the Brookside Theatre, Romford from Friday 13 December until Sunday 22 December. Evening performances at 8pm Wednesday – Saturday. Matinees at 2pm on 14, 21 and 22 December. Check website for full performance schedule. Book via www.brooksidetheatre  or call the theatre Box Office on 01708 755775.
