First World War Community Exhibition at The Queen’s Theatre

Category: Arts & Entertainment 2

Six secondary schools from Havering are presenting an exhibition of students’ work about the First World War.

This exhibition is to commemorate the centenary of the First World War and was designed by students who have visited First World War battlefields and cemeteries in France and Belgium. They wanted to create a Legacy 110 Project, hoping to create an enduring legacy that impacts on at least 110 people in the local community.

The work will be on display in the foyer of the Queen’s Theatre in Hornchurch from the 10th November – 20th November 2015.

Please come along and see the exhibition.

We would like as many people as possible to view the exhibition to make our project a true commemoration of the people who risked their lives during the Great War.

The exhibition has been produced by Emerson Park Academy, The Coopers’ Coborn and Company School, Abbs Cross Academy, Sanders School, Bower Park Academy and Gaynes School. It is a Legacy 110 Project, which is part of the Institute of Education’s Centenary Battlefields Programme.
